I've added back the visual button, I'm not sure why I took it out but I guess I'll remember eventually.
There is a version of L2 with the bar style thing added for testing, it does make the extended playlist window look a bit odd at the moment but I'm trying some longer bars and such to accommodate that in a future update. As far as readability is concerned do you just mean font color or the background lines Uno & Escape have?
If you'd like to tweak colors or fonts don't be afraid to unzip it and edit the skinconfig.txt file. 
Keltic the L2+Bar is perfect, the non-playing playlist entries are now bright and readable, and the fade blue-bar on the selected playing item is gorgeous. Thanks also for adding back the Visuals button. I appreciated the reminder on skinconfig.txt, had totally forgotten about it! Thanks to you I should be able to be just fine from here. Much appreciated!
