Automatically Remove Played Tracks
« on: 25 Jul '21 - 01:38 »
I like to have my music players automatically remove tracks from the playing list after they have been played or skipped.

Is that possible to do in XMPlay?

Yes, right click on the remove from playlist button in the extended or built in playlist and you will get an option to "Remove after playing".
Note you can also right click on songs in the playlist and select "Don't auto remove" to make them sticky.

Hi Keltic.

Thanks for your reply. That's great.
I have just returned to XMPlay after a few years hiatus, so I am a bit rusty on its functionality.
You mentioned both extended or built in playlist. Which playlist is which, and how do I find the other one?

I have attached a screenshot of XMPlay with the Midnight skin.

Edit: OK, I have established that the one on the right is the extended playlist. I don't know how to enable "Remove after playing" with the built in playlist.

Oh not all skins use the playlist panel that is attached to the main window and not all the skins that do have a plalist panel use all the buttons.

So your results may vary a bit.  :) Either way you have it on now by the looks of it.

Edit: I had a look and yeah the built in/playlist panel doesn't actually have the remove button in the midnight skin so you have to do it in the extended playlist as you did.
