BASSMOD for Clickteam Fusion 2.5?
« on: 14 Apr '24 - 19:27 »
Hello everybody, I'm new to... well, forums in general, so I'll try to explain this the best I can.
For context, the tracker music player in Clickteam Fusion 2.5 is kinda shoddy, or at least with the version I have.
Loop points don't apply, and for songs that have a moment of silence after the loop, the song won't start again until that moment of silence has ended.
So I have tried a few solutions. ONU is pretty decent, however, it has clipping issues with the music I am trying to play.
For now, I'm trying, with the DLL object on CTF2.5, to have music play with the BASSMOD.dll core, but it either sends me a crash message or freezes after closing the runtime.
In both cases, no music plays at all. It would be great if anybody who has higher expertise with this program could figure out a solution to this.

Here's the event:

I'm unfamiliar with Clickteam Fusion 2.5, so I'm afraid I can't offer any advice on the specifics of that, but if it's possible then I would suggest using BASS.DLL instead of BASSMOD.DLL. BASSMOD is discontinued (not updated in a long time) and doesn't include support for 64-bit.

Well I also tried BASS.dll, the 32-bit ver, seeing as the 64-bit can't load and it still doesn't work. I'll still try to figure out the problem myself, but thanks for the response.
