Hi everyone!
I totally realise that I've been absent for quite some time, but I intend to change this. Or at least, I intend to make myself obsolete by changing the Support Site. Sometime during the last year, I added Multi-Admin support to the administration panel, but it's not quite being used. Ian has a log-in, but he leaves the Support Site to me (which I'm very grateful for!), but I could use some help.
In the (hopefully near) future, I am planning on extending this multi-admin support to a general multiuser system and making most of the article and file system available to multiple admins, editors and contributors. A first step into that direction will be to get rid of the upload system that currently works with FTP only, and add a HTML upload form and more convenient editing capabilities.
In case you wonder: yes, the whole Support Site is a custom system, programmed 100% by me. This is not some kind of CMS that you can get around the corner, although that wouldn't be bad at all - it'd just take too much time to convert all database content to a new CMS. I also like the idea that I own all of my code and can fix virtually everything, because I know how things work
exactly. I also know that there are security vulnerabilities which I should probably fix, but so far noone has managed (or tried?) to get inside.
That's it for now. If someone of the regulars would be interested in testing the new admin interface, please let me know. Of course I will not give out accounts to people I don't know or trust.
