1  Off Topic / General Discussion / Radio Stations JSON & XML API by jdg2011 on: 19 Apr '13 - 02:10
Hello,

I just wanted to post here and let all developers know, that I now have a JSON & XML API for my internet radio stations MySQL database 23,000 plus. As you all know they have to be edited / updated daily, weekly, monthly ETC... As these guys change information constantly Smiley

If any developer is interested in using this API you may contact me from my site http://www.inlight-radio.com/contact/ for more information Smiley

Thanks Jeramy G.

This would be GREAT if BASS could implement this as a lot of radio stations are already using RTMP or switching to it  Grin

Cheers Smiley

Sorry Chris, The graphical spectrum? Smiley

@Virus2012 I am sure you have some sound files for testing but here is a pretty good frequency testing file in MP3 format zipped for you.

For the second question you had on opening bass examples,

There is a work around to this, Copy one of the folders in the bass examples to a different location, Then open in C# project file ".csproj" there will be conversions but no biggie, just save them back to the project.

Hello Guys, Radio42 I have attatched two screen shots of the file version & assembly version of the latest Bass.NET 2.4.9.0
I was wondering if there was going to be a recompiled version of the bass.net.dll with the file version = 2.4.9.0
I seem to be having installer issues with Advanced Installer and I think it might be related to the installer comparing the file version to the assembly version being miss matched? I know that in the AI I can over ride this in the assemblies .NET options properties, but I would greatly not like to do this as I may forget to change this back once the file shows the correct file version. Thank you Smiley

Both of the screenshots below were taken from the latest version of Advanced Installer Ultimate Edition. BASS ROCKS !!!!

What exactly are you seeking, the tabbed MySQL flat file export? or access to the MySQL DB?
There is Screamer-Radio, Radio Sure, and inLight Radio all have a large selection of stations...
Have a good one Smiley

You can search the web to find some type of album covers/artwork website, There are some out there and they are free. Find one sign up with them free and use there API to find album covers to set the image in your picture box Smiley
I know several other radio developers who use Google but the problem is: sometimes a porn picture is returned! ESP when radio commercials are playing "depends on the MD returned", So this might be dangerous to you app. You would use the bass meta-data along with the API function provided by the site you find to complete this mission of album art work retrieval.

PS Some of these CD/Covers album artwork sites take donations! highly recommended if you use one Smiley

Hello Ian this is true the meta-data is not changing but being resent! It will display the Artist - Track but then a blank appears and then Artist - Track reappears again.

Here is one station that is resending meta-data

Юнистар (Минск) 128kbps

Thanks!
