Love this skin, especially the mini view!
Using mini-view as default.

Chinese Sausage is right that the bitrate isn't showing correctly.

If we're going for old school Winamp classic skins, I'd like to see Winamp5 Classified:

46  Developments / XMPlay / WMA stream doesn't seek for BBC Radio on: 26 Aug '10 - 19:35
So BBC Radio has switched their web radio format from RealMedia to Windows Media, I'm testing a few shows out and I can't seem to seek to a specific portion of the show.

WinAmp allows you to.

FYI, XMPlay WMA plugin is currently at rev.12.

Test with any of these streams:

Thanks for reading!

Opera has a built-in email client... not sure about newsgroups, but I think it supports it.  Give it a shot... you'll be pleasantly surprised (i hope!).

Do you own that 486 in the screenshot? lol.

Btw, sorry for going off-topic! Wink

Rich... you could try something like Opera (perhaps an older version) or K-Meleon.

Netscape... now that's old school!

@Ian - direct download works in Opera now!

Just experienced the Opera - 403 Forbidden issue.

However, I found that it works if you copy the URL and paste it in Opera's Quick Download input field in the "Downloads" window.

Just as another option, you can also use foobar2000 as well.

Hey Ian,

For "Mouse Button Actions", can you add "Plugin File Info" as an option?

Also can you add version numbers for the "Archive" plugins?

Thanks!

Thanks Ian!
Latest "stuff" version fixes the scan HTML bug.

I can't seem to reproduce the fast-forward problem (which is good!), it appears to be gone for now.

Anyway, encountered another bug, I tried adding this webpage as a URL:
http://www.indiespinzone.com/other/pop6.html

But XMPlay crashes before it has the time to scan the entire page for MP3s.

I was still experiencing the fast-forward, chopped-up problem with DirectSound even with the latest Directsound output build and XMPlay "stuff" version.

Checking the "Disable hardware mixing" box in the DirectSound settings fixed the chopped-up sound problem.
Could this mean there's something wrong with my DirectSound?

Also just closed XMPlay and got this error:

The instruction at "0x019c4aca" referenced memory at "0x019c4aca". The memory could not be "read".

Another error:

Hey Ian,

I uploaded an error log I experienced with XMPlay.

I hibernated my computer with XMPlay and on pause when playing an MP3 in a .RAR archive.

Afterwards, when I started my computer, I resumed playing and now when playing any song I hear all sorts of weird sounds like the song was being fast-forwarded and chopped up.

Then XMPlay crashed.

Songs still sound like they are being mangled, but when I switched the output driver to anything but DirectSound, everything became back to normal.

And as has often been mentioned, the Winamp plugin doesn't override XMPlay's native mp3 decoder when it comes to playing the file. I'm attaching an older version of in_mp3.dll which works on my system.

Thanks! I did not know that XMPlay's decoder overrides Winamp's! That was my main reason for not including Winamp's in_mp3.dll in my setup.

I am not very keen on the splitting subtracks into virtual tracks idea, but It would be nice to have some control on which subtracks get played. Here is another suggestion: Can you add for files with cue sheet reference a multiselection submenu of their subtracks? By defualt all subtracks will be ticked (enabled) and unticking (Disabling) will cause them to be skipped. This way the subtacks will retain their original order and will not pose any problem for continuous gapless playback. Only skipped tracks will have to be handled...

Did not know Ian was talking about virtual tracks! I thought he meant actual splittling of cue sheet audio files! hehe.
Your mockup is quite nice, amit.  A right click submenu would be nice.

I know it's probably been brought up on numerous occasions, but what about basic ID3 tagging support as a feature?
I keep reverting to Winamp for this all the time...

Will test out the cross-fading.
CUE sheet splitting sounds cool, but like you said Ian, there's a myriad of issues that can be raised.

I think if you do enable cue sheet splitting, that you do not erase the original longform audio file (at least as a default option).  And maybe, make cue sheet splitting, audio format dependent in the "Options and Stuff" config area. (eg. select the audio formats for cue sheet splitting)... I dunno, just throwing suggestions out there.
