Yeah, resuming on close isn't supported with any streamed podcast, so I'm assuming it's the same limitation. The streams are MP3 and appear to be CBR.

That's a shame. I'll have to find a different player. Also, right-clicking on the close button and selecting "close with position saved" doesn't work here in 3.6.0.1. It just starts from the beginning. At least, with the streams I've tried.

For some reason, you can't seek ahead with a stream with xmplayer. In other words, you can't drag the progress bar ahead to a certain point in a streaming podcast; it will only allow you to start from the beginning. VLC will let you do this, but the player crashes at least once while you're listening to a stream, and I wish I could use xmplayer instead.

you probably have played around with the auto-amp?

You are right. Don't know how that got turned on, as I don't use any of the EQing.

It's a nice skin. I wish it was scaled down a bit though.

I have the latest version, and songs are gradually faded in to full volume. Is this crossfading? I have that turned off in the preferences, but it seems to be permanent.

I'm getting off subject here, but it seems that, if you add songs to the queue, there's also a new unplayed track marker. Not sure what's going on there.

But there is a problem, that in XM Play community is not a good feedback for skin makers. That's why I decided to discontinue skinning.

I got little to no interest in my skin. I still make them, but I don't release them.

In my mind, showing a "spectrum display" that doesn't display the actual real-time spectrum is a distraction and a waste of screen pixels.
Why Jimmy you silly buns Smiley the new version of XMPlay DOES have a real-time spectrum display.

Is there a skin that uses this new spectrum display?

I get a CRC error in the second zip file. What was the point of splitting it?

Again thank you for the viz.

A couple of suggestions:

1. Allow to choose also the background color.
2. Allow to show more than one spectrum of audio stream. Maybe two spectrums for stereo?

An image background would be pretty interesting. It wouldn't even have to scale.

I searched forever at one point for this exact plugin. Thanks for this.

0xFFFFFF00

Is that Visual C++ hex? I have one color picker that seems to support it, but all colors render as black in the vis.

All of that is doable I think. I've updated the skin with the copyright info. I can remove the corny logo. The font size isn't that small relative to other skins though. I've actually tried a different color scheme. It might be eye-burning with this dark contrast, but I'll post a screenshot.

Removed logo from the skin.

Yeah, what became of this skin?

I've got two in the works. I always get stuck on the EQ panel though.

Is there a way to have a "knob" style slider for the EQ? As apposed to having a position slider.

EX:

[edit]

knob_eq.bmp makes a fillup slider, but only from the center out. Is it possible to fill from the bottom?

Are you not able to include the font with the skin, because it's copyrighted?

I'd like to see an option to periodically retry the audio stream URL, without getting the popup "server full" error. As a matter of fact, I'd like to see the popup die a slow death  Grin

[edit]

It already has that feature. Never mind.

You can also make it as a fill-up area with 'knob_volume.bmp' and 'knob_volume_mini.bmp'.

Is there a similar knob for the left/right balance? knob_balance.bmp doesn't work.

[edit]

Never mind. It's slider_balance.bmp.

Making a skin is tough, especially if you don't have paintshop pro. I don't know that photoshop has the ability to reduce to a 256 color palette and open it to find the indexed colors, but to get this straight, you make the mask with any random colors and reduce to 256 and then use the color index to select the right colors for each element?
