I personally don't remember if the crashes happen on the other computer; but if I find out, I'll tell y'all.

XMPlay quits, logless, when I insert a .pls file that references online streams, and is playing local files.  But rarely.

6  Developments / XMPlay / Wishlist for XMPlay 3.2 on: 26 Aug '04 - 20:47
Btw, reading that old thread reminded me, where is Olego? It has been a long time since he posted something...
Yay! I'm remembered! I'm here, every once in a while.  Just feeling antisocial recently, so I've been keeping quiet.~Olego~

It sure gets less humorous when (1) the timestamp is Mar. 31st, and (2) I can't understand a word he's saying. Smiley~Olego~

8  Developments / XMPlay / Download rates on: 3 Mar '04 - 10:19
Hi Ian,

Downloading via XMPlay is a lot slower than it can be.  It's snailin' when I restrict download rate; but even if I don't, it's about 5 times slower to leech a file off localhost than it is to download it.  (Yes, in both cases I'm downloading it from my hard drive; but XMPlay is slower than IE; even though IE has to cache it.) Was that intended?~Olego~

9  Developments / XMPlay / The Files on: 26 Feb '04 - 10:50
Hi Ian,

I accidentally uploaded it as Huh.mp3, so I'm re-uploading Chinese.rar .  I hope you can unpack them correctly, and not as Huh.mp3.~Olego~

10  Developments / XMPlay / Bug! on: 25 Feb '04 - 05:50
Hi Ian, I don't know if you've ever encountered this, but I have a few files that have Chinese titles, but my Windows isn't; so they are all displayed as rectangles. Nonethelessw WMPlayer plays it, and XMPlay doesn't even open them.   Shocked~Olego~

13  Developments / XMPlay / Apple Sound Media Handler on: 6 Jan '04 - 12:45
I looked at the file with my good friend Notepad.  It's got the text "Apple Sound Media Handler" in it, so I think that it's a Apple file that WMPlayer 9 has the codec to read.  The header is definitely not a WAVE, though.  So...  My guess it's a MOV.  Anyone with a Mac to confirm my guess?~Olego~

Not even Rupert Thungfwaller of Pochunk Hollow Road, Tennessee on his 9500 baud [lost 100 in the war of communist aggression (aka, tha fight with that damn hippy across the road)] external 'mo-dim' would have a problem with the speed of this site if it were includes-based and non-framed.
That must be one of the greatest allegories concerning modems, ever!  Grin~Olego~

17  Developments / XMPlay / Humour on: 18 Dec '03 - 03:04
Ok ok ok... I was just being pissy, but still. Sheesh, man. If I didn't know what Pike's Peak was, how could I have made the joke? Even if you were joking back it wasn't obvious and was rather insulting. Dig?
Then, you ought not joke insultingly if you can't receive the same joke in return.  I have better things to do than insult people online; so all of my comments are intended to be humorous.  I shall cease them upon request.  Please pardon the humour you do not find it as such.  ~Olego~

18  Developments / XMPlay / 800! 600! on: 16 Dec '03 - 12:46
No offense, but you're... one user? 800x600 is universally below the limit for most web designs today. Why are you limited to using only 800x600? Work/school? Get them to change it instead, and you'll do everyone a favour Cheesy
Nah, make that 2.  I use 800x600 because: (1) My monitor doesn't support 100 Hz on higher resolutions, (2) I am so used to 100 Hz that anything lower is too noticeable (yes, even 85 Hz now irks me), and (3) because this is not an LCD, my eyes get much too tired at higher resolutions.  BTW, I am on a 19-inch monitor, I'll go higher on a 21-inch one.  Tongue~Olego~

Wow, this is the second beer offer I've received and had to put down.  I'll settle on something sweeter and less alcoholic. Grin
Concordantly, pike is a fish.
