I think that most users wont rewrite the code of their application due to an beta update version of the library.
For my application, changing to this dll only with 3 functions makes me integrate many changes in the main functions of the program.

   I didn't expect that BASS_DSHOW to be used from now(on this state), because it is still under developing. I've just post it here because i want like you to test it, send feedback so i can improve it.

  So please give me feedback if you try it: A/V sync, audio have no gliches, video quality is good etc,etc.

  Yes, i know about AVI issues. Those will be fixed. Please try with MP4,MKV,FLV,WMV. Thanks for testing.

So i have tested to play a flv file. playback works fine but when i slide the rate than the tempo or switch them the video restart or the application cause an error and do a do not send from windows.

MKV does not play, using combined community codec pack 2009
mp4 also crash the application with do not send dialog box.

wmv and mpg seems to work properly.

finished...
you can fix them for the moment, and if someone else has others bugs, feels free to report them.

  A new update:

+enabled the mp3 decoder based on BASS
+fixed some AVI/WMV issues
+Some core updates(more speed)


Please test it and reports any bugs found.

Now the .avi files play good but still i loose video/audio sync after seek ... so i think this is an area where you still need to work

Trying to play a wmv file, get an error message "ASA", than the video try to start and the application does not respons.

mkv and flv: get an error message, "scrollbar property out of range"
avi: certains works, others freeze and others crash the application.

Issues found:
- "Scrollbar out of range" error message with certain .AVI files
- Video artifacts sometimes showing up
- Video quality is not as good on Windows 7 compared to the same video playing in WMP (or any other player).

Nonetheless, it feels like this project is finally getting to that certain level it needs to be! Keep the good work up Sharky.

this seems to works fine but i get still problems with mpg files, sometimes the video freeze).

others are ok.

I've just tested and works fine. Maybe is a codec problem? Maybe you should install k-lite codec pack.
