Misc adds to interface: I wish that there was a support progress (super) bar green colour to taskbar in Win 7! It should be optional and the colour should be configurable, IMHO. Btw, no need to quote the suggestions list...Yes, in a current of playing of a composition - green, pause - yellow & when playback is stopped - red stripes!

Another suggestion :
Allow tree representation of the library tracks. It can be an additional tab in the info window or an optional view instead of the current database view.
Its structure can follow the directory structure or customizable similarly to the titles format : "%2\%3%\%1" leading to a tree with artists as branches , albums as sub-branches and titles as leafs.

Hello! One new, and one old visual suggestion I made in 3.5 suggests topic : Improvement of the 3D Spectrum. Great to "listen AND see", so stereo channels (with independant left and right spectrum) and maybe a finer "resolution" of the visual would be nicer! Like this Much more visuals for effects used into mod, xm, it... Like this ! Thanx for all the work, xmp rulez.

The library column "Play Count" - shouldn't this figure be related to the track age? For example : 100 days old track with 10 plays compared to 1 day old track with 10 plays. Are these the same? Can another column be added to represent frequency of tracks playack (IE ratio between playcount and age) or allow to choose between regular playcount and frequency display? Thanks

Suggestions for XMPlay 3.6 Requested: Interface - Flash current track in playlist/library Here's an example of what I mean (it flashes a little slower actually): Here's what it currently looks like in XMPlay: It is more practical and easier on the eyes to find the current track, either on the Playlist or the Media Library. I would LOVE to have this feature implemented in XMPlay

I'm sure there would be more people than just me who would find this annoying, so I'd at least implement it as a skin setting. Also, depending on skin you use, the current trick might stick out a lot more (f.e. in Neutrino it uses another font colour which sticks quite out).

I can see your point. Probably it is a better idea to implement it as a skin setting like you mentioned. Perhaps a different variation of MMD3?

the 3.5.1 is almost perfect with 1 downsida (at least for me) suggestion: automatic add list from library to playlist; when user play tracks from library.
adding each files to both library and playlist when every new audio file is added seems impractical.

Only one: new default skin. That blue-ish ugly thing looking like web pages from 1999 discourages all new users.
No way. The current skin of XMPlay is beautiful, simple and (the most) powerful. You can choose other skin as well.

Actually, I do think that quite a few people would agree that the default skin is rather ugly.

You can choose other skin as well. If XMPlay gets a new default skin for 3.6, you will be able to download the current one as an .xmpskin file, just like the 2.x Default skin (by Vesh). You can use a non-default skin as well .

I for one rarely use the default skin. I think it is ok. But I prefer MMD3, it has it everything I need at my fingertips, very easy to read and use, even easier than the default, which is not half bad actually. The song flashing in the playlist and library (slow, and with the option of disabling it in xmplay.ini) would make it even better!

hello i've been 'XMPlaying' these days and it'd be cool to control XMP via HTTP so i came up with this... what you think http://xmplay.000space.com/also i made a new skin for my partners the skin is mainly in spanish in order to help the new XMPlay users so the suggestion is since we already have a skinconfig txt file all the translateed text could be there.. preview the sources http://www.mediafire.com/?oammy1k2yyips. is there a way to make 'bold' the current track in the playlist? Salu2.
