Downloaded, tested with XMPlay 3.5.0.0, xmp-flac.dll (Revision 7). The result - my PC froze. Twice. The same error I've got with some APE files, that I mentioned before...

Decoding with FLAC.exe gives a perfect and working .wav file, but returns this error:

ERROR while decoding metadata
state = FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_END_OF_STREAM

I didn't tried it with other plugins anyways.

I've downloaded the file too and it plays fine here. Decoding it using the FLAC CLI works too, no error reported.

XMPlay 3.5.0.5 with latest plugins for several audio files and archives.

It seems to be fine here too. Please clarify when it's hanging, eg. does it start playing at all? If you have the "General" info window open, do you see anything there when opening the file?

thanks was a compatibility error with an old plugin aac



the new version of aac plugin solves the problem

The new xmp-aac.dll indeed does. There were two problems:
Under XP it crashed my whole OS, and I couldn't even check, what the problem was.
The update checker don't shows the updtes of the "unofficial" plugins.

Updates are notified for: xmplay, xmp-cd, xmp-wma, xmp-midi, xmp-flac, xmp-ds, xmp-asio, xmp-wasapi, xmp-exe, xmp-ahx, xmp-delix, xmp-ra, xmp-sid, xmp-ganbatte, xmp-msn, xmp-wavis and xmp-coverart. Perhaps xmp-aac and xmp-ac3 can be moved from the 'in development'-list to the regular plugins?

mmm, it would be nice to have some automatic download (selectable) for plugin updates too.
