When I try to run xmplay 3.51 on Windows 7 64 bit, I get the "This file has been tampered with and MAY BE INFECTED BY A VIRUS!" message. I do have Comodo Firewall installed, but I even tried disabling defense+, then closing Comodo, then re-downloading the zip file and re-extracting the executable, and I still get the error.
The weird thing, and what makes me think it isn't Comodo, is that if I run the program as administrator, or run it in windows XP compatibility mode, xmplay runs fine and I don't get the error. (Vista compatibility mode shows the error) The problem is that both running as administrator and running in XP compatibility mode bring up a UAC screen that I have to approve. If I have to do that every time I run the program it would be pretty unusable.
Is there anyone who actually has 3.51 running under 64 bit Windows 7 and can advise?
Thanks!!
Er. As discussed, the problem is not XMPlay + Windows 7x64. It's because of Comodo.
Simplest solution: Use other "
quality, more popular, higher detection rate" antivirus: Avast, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, Panda Cloud Antivirus, Norton Antivirus,...
