SimCity 2000 Macintosh MIDI Soundfont v0.3
« on: 17 Jul '10 - 16:50 »
Folks,

A little something/project that "Zarggg" and I have been working on. Check this message thread -> http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=22804 over at Vogons for a little more info as to what this thing is.

Brief description (from the included readme):

This soundfont is for use with an AWE-32, AWE-64, or a Sound Blaster Live sound card (as well as Ian Luck's freeware media player XMPlay, with XMPlay's MIDI Plugin installed), and was created from samples ripped from the Macintosh version of SimCity 2000. The archive also includes edited SimCity 2000 MIDI files for use with the soundfont.

Anyhow, yer files:

Folks,

A minor update to the SimCity 2000 Macintosh MIDI Soundfont ZIP (text below from the updated readme):

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Lastly, included is a little bonus... an additional MIDI file that was not part
of SimCity 2000's soundtrack. SimCity Classic for Windows included the single
MIDI file "SCWMUSIC.MID" that was played throughout the game (a cool jazzy type
of song). I simply thought that it would be interesting to "remap" this MIDI
file for use with the SimCity 2000 Macintosh MIDI Soundfont :) As above, the
song will sound strange if you play back this MIDI file without using the
soundfont.

Download link is the same as in my previous post above. Hope ya'll like it :)
