Oh well, since the XMPlay 3.6 got released, I suppose I'll ask about the little things that we were talking some time ago regarding these new awesome skins.

1. in minimode, glitch with the pixels for time indicator (getting cut, font acting strange, ...)
2. "sort" button in the extended playlist, was very handy. is this intended?

3. if it's not possible to fix those, I could use the sources to mod them a bit more to my liking; so since the sources were to be released later, it's now later enough?

oh, seems like my friends like the new wamp modern skins a lot. /me bows...

I do not seem to reproduce that problem anymore. Did you already download the latest versions from the skins section?

I can see your point, if you are using the skin in minimode. There is space to make the option available.

I for one was waiting for the little reverb option in the EQ of WAModern.

yes, I've got the last from the skin section. btw, the glitch I'm talking about is in mini mode only (along with the not enough space for some numbers).

Just so you guys know, I've sent off the latest version of the WAModern etc skins to be compiled and released. Changes in this release are things like the unreleased reverb switches and tool tip colours. (Note that sources will be released when they are out too on the support site, including fonts etc, sorry for the delay on that.)

Don't think I include the sort button in any of the new skins, it is accessible via the main panel on the shuffle/random button. I know thats probably not the most logical place in the world but I'm not sure I can shoe horn it into the info window without making the width even huger than it already is.

I still need to do the following but unfortunately I won't get to them anytime soon:
  • Update the info windows for all skins, this means matching the width to the main panel as well as moving all buttons to the bottom of the window like the original source. Very time consuming, would love to do it now and to be honest doing it once isn't bad, doing it 14 times for each skin and theme on the other hand...
  • Release 2x size versions of them all after that.

Thank you for the updates Keltic. The little reverb button was needed for this skin, although of course one can always create a keyboard shortcut.

I noticed that the MMD3 and WAClassic skins were also re-uploaded. Did you make improvements on them too?

Cheers!

Both MMD3 and... where did you find the WAClassic skins? Shocked Can't find them. In any case they all had their tooltip colours fixed to be identical (mostly) to the original source material.

The WAClassic skins also had the reverb switches added as well as a font glitch in WAClassic3.

MMD3 skins had all of the highlighted song colours changed in the info window to match the original as well. Don't ask me why the song highlight for silver3 red2 is coloured blue, thats how the original is as well.

All the MMD3, WAModern and Multipass sources (including fonts) can now be found on the XMPlay Support site in the appropriate area. WAClassic ones will be added soon as I can grab the compiled ones.

Made me look!

Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with the attributions of the skins that I didn't see before.

For example:
on the support site: Euphoria
by AIMP Dev Team, Port by AIMP Dev Team
on the un4seen site: Euphoria
by Sergey Kokorin original by AIMP dev team

on the support site: WAModern (5 Themes)
by Sven Kistner, Port by Sven Kistner
on the un4seen site: WAModern
by KelticDanor original by Sven Kistner

It happened to me before. Sometimes you have to clear the internet temporary files and login again to refresh the page. Oh yes, now I can see the changes in MMD3. I also did notice the reverb button on the WAClassic skins as well Smiley

Yep, just a little typo.

And... Embarrassed can't believe I just got baffled by a cached page, think I need some more coffee.

The WAClassic's and sources are up on the support site as well for anyone that wanted to hack 'em. On a side note they provide an excellent template for anyone wanted to convert over any classic Winamp skins, feel free to ask for a hand if needed.

KelticDanor,

I am pasting in a new post that I sent today, because your name is on the skin that I want to use and I didn't know if you'd see it or not.  Remember, I am just quoting it here, so it won't look like it was written right to you.  Sorry 'bout that. Smiley

You can reply either here, or in that new thread which is titled:

"MMD3 Bugs?  Or Features?"

...which has the following text in it anyway and is quoted from that thread.  And before reading, thanks for doing the MMD3 for XMPlay!  It has always been my favorite skin!  Compact (but not too compact), yet with lots of features and really, really cool looking! Smiley

Anyway, here goes the original post from the other tread, starting now...

MMD3
by KelticDanor
original by Sven Kistner

There are either bugs in it, or features that are not there, I'm not sure which.  I can only compare it to how it worked in WinAmp, when I used that player.  I know it's not the same player, but the skin should be doing what I will be addressing, regardless of the player I think.

For some examples:

1) The "Config" button on the left side bring up the program's main configuration (options) screen, but when it was originally designed and used in WinAmp, it allowed you to configure the "Drawers" (that's what they were called, the Equalizer being a "drawer" that slid open) and when you clicked on "Config", it would pop up a little box from which you could swap which side the Equalizer Drawer shows on.  I place my player in the top right corner of the Desktop, so it is a bit annoying note to be able to put the main part up against the right edge, especially because...

2) I cannot close the Equalizer drawer, so that it does not stick out.  There should be a button on each side that opens and closes the two popouts (one on each side).  To the right of the Equalizer drawer, there is a large button.  I can't make out what it says, but it should make the EQ drawer slide open or closed, but I can't do that because...

3) The button on the edge of the EQ drawer does not work for opening and closing the EQ drawer.  As I said, I can't make out what it says, but it looks like it says "DSP Settings", instead of "Open/Close".  I could live with this, if the EQ drawer was on the left and the other drawer is not important, because all it did was allow you to change the skin, which can be done by right-clicking on the main part of the program anyway.

4) When I "stretch" the window that shows you the songs that you have loaded up to play, it will not "hold" that length.  In other words, when you open it again, it is "short" again and I have to "stretch" it vertically each and every time.  It should be able to "stick" the way that I set it up.  I mean, all I'm doing is making it longer, so that I can see more of the list when I open it and place songs in it.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the programmer, or if he looks at these forums?

I think this is simply a GREAT looking screen and I would really LOVE to use it with XMPlay!  But it's just SO AGGRAVATING to me to have the EQ be stuck on the right and not be able to stretch out the song list window!!! Smiley

Can anyone please help me out here???  I would really, greatly appreciate it!!!  Thanks! Smiley

Dave

P.S.: To KelticDanor - If you'd rather go email, because you want me to test some things on it or something, we can do that.  Just let me know and I will give you my email address and thanks for any help that you can give me on this! Smiley
