Oh no its not port this time girls and boys, that was just a warm up! Grin

This skin is based on a previous skin experiment of mine Lithe, both in size and minimalisminismsm.

It's alright. I don't think the font is very readable though. I'm not saying it's ugly. I'm saying I'm nearsighted so I usually sit far enough so that the fonts are a little blurry, and verdana (or w/e it is you're using) is very hard to read. If you modify character spacing or use a different font it would be more appealing.

I like it much better than Lithe, I like the icons above the playlist Smiley
Perhaps the track font could be a just little bit bigger for easier reading.
What is the button on the right side of the EQ for? Is it for the playlist/library/vis?

I think the font is a little hard to read too. Sorry, but even if it's nice, maybe there's some similar one with more readability?

The font in the playlist seems OK, but the one in the track is the one that needs to be a bit bigger, for better readability  Smiley

Probably going to change the font altogether, not sure to what yet as I can't find one I'm happy with. Sad

Yes it is, I might split it into two buttons, not sure yet.

One for the Playlist/Library and one for the Vis would be nice  Smiley

Looks very nice indeed, might have to switch out my Lithe mod when this comes out. Smiley

My two cents about the fonts: Why not keep page from Lithe's book? Make the song title bigger, so that the nice font becomes clearer and use a simpler one for the playlist.

But in doing so that would take most of the character of the skin

I don't think it does that for Lithe.

Made the font a bit darker to compensate, will probably still make it bigger but trying things out still. Smiley

Playlist has been spaced out a bit (Thanks amit!) and the progress bar isn't flat grey anymore, so far its either blue, green or orange based on the info window icons.

Going to shuffle the player window a little bit, moving the spectrum and putting in volume controls, then that'll be the mini mode more or less finished (Or the main mode... I forget which it's supposed to be. Cool).

Edit: Oh and raina! Grin can I see the lithe mod too please, you've made me curious.

It looks a little bit less "VIP", but it is sharper looking. Did you do something to the playlist other than the spacing?

Oh I added the coloured bar in between the black/white in the info window to match the player.

Still deciding on the layout though. /me ponders Maybe number 3.

I prefer the Layout 1, as the spectrum gives more life to the player in addition to the scrolling song title, and gives the skin a fuller appearance. However, the blue colored bar works better though IMHO.

Whoa, that's looking great, especially with the larger spacing on the playlist! I'm not too fond of layout 2 btw, I'd choose 1 or 3 based on how distracting the spectrum visual is.

Does the coloured bar on the playlist match the progress bar colour, or do you intend to keep them different?

Yep the coloured bars match, I'm just lazy updating screenshots. Smiley

Out of these my preferred option would be 3rd.

Maybe the volume indicator could be be more triangular to differentiate it from position slider?

You could also experiment with auto-mini mode. The skin is quite small as it is but the controls can stay hidden most of the time...

The triangular volume indicator looks better, in Layout 1 Smiley

Think I'll go with two versions for the extra spectrum, but one at a time. Smiley

First post has been updated with a different volume control and the first go at the mini-mode Edit: Tongue which looks a little crappy.

In my mind, showing a "spectrum display" that doesn't display the actual real-time spectrum is a distraction and a waste of screen pixels.
