If your going by dates and things from the support site thats probably not the best indication of skinning activity or available right at this minute, its a tad out of date (but I'm working on it!).
Was considering talking to Ian about it when I came back recently, but didn't want to do anything until I bring the support site up to date & the next version of XMPlay is out with its various skinning enhancements.
The questions that spring to my mind are:
1. Are there enough skinners interested in getting involved in one at the moment.
2. If not, what kind of "prize" would entice said interest?
Since naturally I'm sure no one would want anyone to go nuts putting a comp. together to get 2 submissions from Billy Bobson and his Cat Frankie to choose from, despite that cat having some wicked Photoshop skills.

What is "better" feedback then? Usually you can expect at least a dozen responses or so on new skins. |

I got little to no interest in my skin. I still make them, but I don't release them. |

What is better response? That's simple. Just more than three (JUST three) comments on my skin which are usable. Yes, it is very plasant, when somebody tells you: "Great skin" but it doesn't help with development.
And probebly before more than one year I posted here new version of my skin (picture) and I asked people to help me make it better. But NOBODY have responded since then. So it demotivated me, because, logically, I feel there is no interest.

Well, you have seen there are some of us who are interested in seeing new skins available. It is only for the good, as it attracts new users to XMPlay, while it gives a fresh new look to the player for those of us who have been long time devoted users. I do care for aesthetics in an audio player. As dbz said, XMPlay should look as good as it sounds.

Here are the rules of DA contests: 1. If you make a contest for something AWESOME, you get attention. 2. If you make a contest for something EPICLY MOTHERF*CKING AWESOME, you get some attention. 3. If you make a contest for ANYTHING, with a prize worth of 2$, you get a lot of attention. 4. If you make a contest for pretty much anything, with 10 prizes worth of 300$ total, you get mainpage'd and trused for ever, and ever. |

Why prizes? This is FREE player. They do it for US without any pament. So WE should do skins for THEM without any payment including prizes. Your prize can be, that more than 200 000 members of XMPlay community will see it and maybe use it.
