I think the title is pretty explanatory...
the guide that there is at the support site refers to Paint Shop Pro, and although i made some efforts with photoshop, i couldn't make a mask easily...the mask i got in the end was pretty messed up.
so the only thing that worked for me so far was to alter an existing mask form another skin

i mean skin masks (mask_main, mask_mini etc)

if anyone can provide some info, steps to take, or whatever else would help,
i would be grateful

thank you for your time

ps.what programs do you use to create your skins?

I'm not familiar with Photoshop, so I'm afraid I can't advise on that, but whatever software you use, it is probably best/simplest to begin with a mask from one of the skinning kit example skins for a ready-made palette, and resize it to match your skin's dimensions.

Hello,

confronted to the same problem, I went back to GIMP where it is possible to rearrange the Color Palette.

Hope this helps...

Why look for trouble? Standart MS Paint contains everything needed to create a mask, the best program for this I have not found, the more it is the only program that keeps the BMP in the proper format. It is only necessary to use a ready example file masks and rebuild it under their size.
