Mamplayer is a midi player which can display midis in quite a few interesting ways. The only drawback is that the whole program is compiled into an exe (no dlls though). I was wondering if someone could perhaps disassemble this and package it as a visualization.

Looking at MAMPlayers visualizations, it uses data from the actual MIDI patterns, which you will not get from the standard visualization-interface. Have you asked the author whether he's interested in adapting his visualization to xmp-midi?
