When right-clicking the close button, there are currently options to close at end of track and at end of list. How about closing at the end of the queue, if there is one?

I don't know if someone suggested yet. Maybe direct folder navigation like explorer could be interesting. ...or a feature like directory structure grouping in media library ?

Options and stuff > Playlist > 'Stop at end of queue' combined with 'Close at end of list' should do just that. Would be nice to have that on the close button indeed.

Yeah well, usually I don't want to stop at the end of the queue, so enabling that option is a no-go.

Currently , after listening to a queue I usually lookup the library for the last played track prior to the queue playback and return to it. Is it possible to bookmark the last point in the playlist before queue starts? Resuming previous list order would be much easier that way...

Yes, that would be good.

I think I include this suggestion from my other thread, so it does not get lost. It would be nice to have an ability to select the amount of repeats when writing to a wave, mp3 etc file. (especially when playing a mod file, which jumps not always to the true beginning but to a loop point when it's set) That would give the effect of a mod beeing played back directly on xmplay, which uses loop points and jumps to them. I think you know what I mean So just playing back the mod file from pos 0 is only half effect. Thank you and Greetings, Gadget

I tried to randomize my queued tunes, but I found that shuffling the queue is only possible by using a shortcut. I first doubted that such a function exists until I checked the shortcuts configuration. So, for the mini playlist, it would be kind of nice to have a context menu item for shuffling.
The "Shuffle" option in the "Random play order" buttton's right-click menu should work on the queue too, when the playlist display is in queue mode. If the skin that you're using doesn't have a queue mode switch, you can use a shortcut (the default is "Q") to switch it. Maybe like firefox history list? Pressing the back button for a second or so would bring a drop down list of recent played tracks?
I think something like that could be arranged, but perhaps not by holding the button down for a second as that would be a bit out of place (there are no other buttons that work that way). Another option would be to put it in a right-click menu on the play button (with the existing right-click random track option moved there too). Does anyone have any other/better ideas for it? It would be nice to have an ability to select the amount of repeats when writing to a wave, mp3 etc file.
Here's an update that replaces the "once" looping option with an adjustable "limit" option... www.un4seen.com/stuff/xmplay.exeLike the previous "once" option, the "limit" automatically applies when file writing.

The long click behavior of the back/forward buttons was introduced to firefox only in version 4 (Previously there was a drop down button). If new button behavior can be added to firefox's why not to xmplay ? I think a simple way to move between subtracks is more important than the history list. If right click menu is the only way to add the history list , I would allow left clicking the next/previous buttons to move within subtracks as well. When subtracks are available the next/previous buttons will use them , otherwise xmplay will jump to the nearest track on the playlist.

If new button behavior can be added to firefox's why not to xmplay? I don't think you can compare the buttons one-on-one, the Back-button is much more prominent in Firefox than in XMPlay. If right click menu is the only way to add the history list, I would allow left clicking the next/previous buttons to move within subtracks as well. Right-clicking for a history list would make more sense to me, so this sounds good .

Me, I don't really even care which way is used for "track history", as long as it's not overly arduous .

I agree that the right-click subsong seeking is more important and should be left alone, which is why I said "right-click menu on the play button" Here's an update to show what I had in mind... www.un4seen.com/stuff/xmplay.exeA 20 track history is available via a right-click menu on the play button. The history isn't retained across sessions, ie. it's lost when XMPlay is closed. I figure that people that have used the "Count as played after..." option to set a minimum playback time for a track to be considered as played in the library would also want that to apply to a playback history, so it does. The history is a list of tracks rather than playlist entries. If a track has been removed from the playlist, it will be added when the history entry is chosen. It also means that if there are multiple instances of the track in the playlist, it may not the be the same playlist entry that is played from the history (it will always be the 1st instance).

Why others didn't point me to the mistake earlier? If the 'CUE sheet as virtual tracks' is not going to happen , how about adding to the brand new play button menu a sub menu of the subtracks of currently played file?

i like a history list of the recently played songs/tracks but now it takes 2 clicks to randomly played a track i believe the recently played tracks would look/fit better making a right click in a non-clickable area just where the >> 'options and stuff' 'skins' and 'lock position' are, don't u agree? salu2

It's not ideal indeed. i believe the recently played tracks would look/fit better making a right click in a non-clickable area just where the >> 'options and stuff' 'skins' and 'lock position' are, don't u agree? I disagree. In that context menu it would not disrupt any other function, but it would also be out of place. That menu has to do with the appearance of the Main Window, not with the tracks you're playing.

Why not place it in the right-click menu of the playlist window? That would be most appropriate, I think.

This appeals perhaps to only me but could it be done (maybe through a secret setting) that the main panel goes to tray automatically after X minutes? I have Windows set to turn off the monitor after 3 minutes and when the panel is visible there is still desktop activity which does not make the monitor turn off. Over the top suggestion? Yep. Would it be nice? Definitely
