Hmm, I have one of those "suggestions that might have already been implemented"...
See, I never use the "Add" dialogs, I always just drag-and-drop a file or directory onto the player. Now, dropping on the player's miniwindow executes the Open action, erasing the playlist. That's very cool, and what I want in 99% of the cases. Sometimes, tho, I'd prefer to add to playlist. As of now, I open the ext.playlist window and drop on the Add button there, that works. (I could also drop into the playlist itself, but that'll insert the tracks at drop point, not at the end, and would be annoying.) But what about a way to execute "add" in the miniwindow itself? Possibly by dropping on the "Open extended playlist" button?
PS. Also also, would support for password-protected archives be possible in xmp-rar? I know that 7zip, which is open source, can open those, so even if official unrar.dll doesn't, there's some code to look at...

I'm running XMPlay in Linux, under Wine. Equalizer levels are displayed as dB in slider popups in skins (including the default), in case that's relevant. Sorry, it hadn't occurred to me that this aspect of the player's behaviour might be OS-related.
The popups in the DSP options window are actually using a standard Windows feature, unlike XMPlay's "bubbles". When the popup is displayed, the default is to show the slider's current position, but Windows will first ask the app if it wants to provide its own text (which XMPlay does). I had a look myself, and it looks like WINE doesn't currently do that.

Yep, I also noticed that with OpenMPT on Wine, so it's not only a problem with XMPlay.

remove and delete files of multiple selected items in a single click, currently a pop up loads of each selected item to delete

In the meantime, you can always drag the song to the folder of your choice using both left + right mouse buttons and dragging it. I was a Winamp user too for many years. XMPlay completely replaced it. The only thing that I miss is that you cannot "stick" in place the extended playlist/info window to the main window like in Winamp or AIMP.

Does Options and stuff > Appearance > Move with main window help?

Yes it does, but when I accidentally move the playlist window I have to pin-point the window back into the desired position. The new "Lock position" window, somewhat help as well, but it would be nice to have the "stick playlist window to the main window" feature as well. It would make things much easier.

I miss an easy way how to remove unwanted URLs from appropriate listbox on dialog window "Open file(s)"... I'd suggest to add button "Remove" next to "Open URL" (with delete confirmation, in case of mis-clicking).

Could there be a Remove all except the currently playing track?

List nav - Jump to current, List nav - Invert selection, List track - Remove? Or do you specifically need it in the context menu of the Remove button?

I suggest an overhaul of the shortcut key list.
As you know, many actions can be assigned to the same button and the sequence is important, which makes all except manual sorting pretty much impossible. I think the system should be changed so, that whenever there's a shortcut assigned with multiple actions under it, it would be displayed as a single item. This would make the list much clearer with possibility of automatic sorting. I'll leave the details for others to discuss, but I think it could be enhanced with some simple graphical markings, or somesuch.

If you re-read the post, you will see that Miki was not referring to playlist or queue, but rather the (Windows) list of previously opened URLs. Presumably, the concept is not allowing others who use the PC to see those URLs. However, I don't see how that would be necessary on an audio-only player.

Undoubtedly, but judging from the sequence of comments, I think that SmartOne was misinterpreting miki's request. Of course, it could be just that the word "remove" reminded him of a different request.

They look like two quite different requests to me - no connection between them at all. But no doubt the various contributors will soon return to clear the matter up.
