Could you just add the library "age" to these sort options? thanks!
The "age" is specific to the library, ie. it tells how long ago a track was added to the library. So I'm not sure it would be relevant as a playlist sorting option. The "smart playlists" thing sounds interesting. It would basically combine the following steps: search, select all matches, sort, replace (or add to) playlist. I'll stick it on the list

Are you worried it would be mistaken for the file creation date? It is mainly as Jimmy Neutron said to easily play recently added tracks. I'd suggest not to put that in the Find Window, but in a separate one. Dynamic playlist plugin perhaps? It would certainly make XMPlay a hands-off 24/7 music box . I was trying to suggest the simplest way to add this without adding complicated additions etc' (which would mean it will never happen ) . A sort variable can be ignored when doing a search and be used when loading tracks to the playlist. A simple duplicate search history list which is named "loads matches" can be added and then Voilą - a 24/7 music box .

Yep, that's it. I guess the menu entry could be named something like "library age" instead of just "age", but it still seems a bit out of place to me

How about a way to mute/adjust volumes of certain channels in mod/mo3/etcs?

You can mute module channels using the pattern visualisation. Use numpad 4/6 to navigate between channels and 5 to mute/unmute them.

Could you please add (an option) to have a little space at the end of the playlists for easy drag and drop queuing? Only a line or two would be necessary.

Drop on the "Add" button or on the main window while holding Shift. That appends to playlist.

That's easy enough, but it might be worth adding an empty line just to make it more intuitive/obvious.

When the playlist window is full and I want to append to the list, I drag and drop on the playlist window frame.

Dunno if this has been suggested, but a really cool feature would be to have control buttons in the taskbar live preview. Media player classic home cinema does this. In windows 7, when you hover over the program on the taskbar and you get the "Live Preview", there are a number of buttons under the image, such as play, next, previous etc. In this way you can access those functions without using the main XMPlay interface.

While "quick find" tooltip is active pressing 'esc' button causes the current search to be cancelled. Is it possible , instead of completely clear the search criteria in this case , to restore the pattern that was used prior to "quick find" activation? Thanks

Why would you need to adjust speed of playback? If you want to change the playback rate of a file, you should use a dedicated audio editor for that.

Add to XMPlay: - adjustable speed of play
For that you can use VLC media player, it's free and very powerful for things like that (audio and video). It's what i've used sometimes. I think it's not easy to code and not very very important. That's my oppinion

Can we have an option for disabling all the DSP stuff (reverb, equalizer, amplification and DSP plugins) while wavewriting? If I'm doing, MOD2MP3 encoding (say, for a portable player), I need to untick all those boxes and them tick them back on or the files created will have double equalizer and reverb when played back in XMPlay.
Also, is it possible to add a Wave-write to disk option for the playlist context menu? So that we could wave-write and listen to music at the same time?

Can we have an option for disabling all the DSP stuff (reverb, equalizer, amplification and DSP plugins) while wavewriting? You can make a Saved Settings preset with all DSPs off. Load that, untick 'Automatically load saved settings' and you're done.
