Also xmplay doesn't visually mark tracks which are already played. In random play order mode it is difficult to evaluate how many tracks are left to play.
If you're using the latest
stuff, perhaps you could enable the "Remove after playing" option in the right-click menu of the "Remove from list" button. That will result in tracks being removed from the list after they're played, making it easy to see what's left to play.
Thanks , Ian. I will give it a try.
Maybe the option "Auto-replace list with library matches" should be visible also in the "find tracks" window?
Yep, if the option turns out to work well

For example, If I start XMPlay with the -tray parameter, it will always "flash" and become the active window. I've tried to start XMPlay hidden with extern utilities like nircmd, or with autohotkey's "hide" command but neither won't work; it continues to keep "flashing" and stealing focus; really annoyning.
Here's an update that shouldn't flash and steal focus when the "-tray" option is used...
www.un4seen.com/stuff/xmplay.exeI've already suggested this feature. I would like it to be implemented in XMPlay, with the option of disabling it. With would make the name of the current track on the playlist and specially in the library MUCH easier to locate.
The quickest way to locate the current track is to use the "List nav - Jump to current" shortcut, which is assigned to Ctrl+Up (or Down) by default. You can also right-click on the list's scroller to bring the current track into view.
With files with sample rate higher than 96000 my sound card buffer experience buffer underruns. To avoid this I need to downsample the files permanently or to resample all files inside xmplay.
That sounds strange. What output system are you using, and does increasing the buffer length help? Is 96000 Hz (or lower) the soundcard's highest supported rate? If so, ASIO or exclusive mode WASAPI output would automatically be limited to that (anything higher would be resampled to that).
Ian, any chance for an increase in the maximum amplification value?
The update above extends the auto-amp range to 20 dB. Let me know if it still isn't enough.
