It's been a long time since we did one of these but its a special year being the 10th year anniversary of the Un4seen Developments forum!

From version 1.0 in 1999, XMPlay 3.6 has come a long long way, evolving far beyond what any of us could of imagined at the time. Including myself who disliked skinning and plugins back then has been swayed by the XMPlay way of doing things, not to mention was inspired to tried my hand at creating some myself. And for all that thanks go to Ian for continuing to support and improve XMPlay & BASS after all this time, thanks also go to the community as always as one of the friendliest supportive software forums I've ever been a part of.

So here's for the last 10 years Un4seen Developments, looking forward to another 10 more.

Yay, another posting competition thread, and I'm still faring pretty well Grin!

In the three year anniversary thread Vesh was surprised that so little time had actually passed, but now after ten years, at least to me it seems like a strangely long time... Hell, that's over a third of my life, hanging around here more of less regularly Shocked.

By the way, what's the point of that "over 9000" after Ian's post count? 9000 posts is somehow significant?

Congratulations to all concerned in this always constructive and friendly enterprise.

The most striking thing in the above statistics is the number of forum members, as compared with the number we know of from their posts. Talk about tips of icebergs.

Seems like you didn't hang around at other places of the internet too much then. Grin But here's your answer.

Let's go for another 10 years of BASS, TREBLE AND... err, I mean BASS, XMPlay and other stuff!

Haha! You've got to be kidding me, I've never bumped into this anywhere Cheesy. I've even watched quite a bit of anime, just not those dragonballz.

Well thanks, now I know.

[edit]I guess I'm not so keen on all the weird web memes. Could be I've just sidestepped it not knowing what it was about Smiley.

A decade! Congratulations! Good to see that this forum is so active Smiley. I'm happy to wait another 10 years for xmp-coffee, xmp-tea and xmp-lawnmower if it keeps going like this Wink.

The BASS topic count is wrong btw.

It looks like you're only a few days short of being the forum's longest survivor. From the members list, the XMPlay forum old school top 10 appears to be: Keltic Danor, Rah'Dick, Pike84, hukka, Fraggie, deus-ex, raina, Philidor/Philidor11, knuru/Knurek, Zarggg.

@Ian: So it seems. Olego was the very first member to join, and one of the longest lasting too, but he's also been gone for almost two years now. We've got lots of active new members though, and the forum is still as friendly and useful as ever (plus better looking than initially) Smiley.

Wow. I had no idea I was that active (and I even missed the earlier years' threads), especially since I haven't been posting all that much since I switched to foobar2000 as my primary music player a few years ago.

What is, in your oppinion the best of these three things? XMPlay (the program itself), the community (with the forums, of course) or Ian, THE DEVELOPER?

Yo conozco XMPlay desde hace unos 15-16 años y, aunque fue durante muchos años ignorado por mí, desde hace 6 ó 7 años no paro de usarlo igual que no para de evolucionar y mejorar.  Tongue

Congratulations and thank you very much for all this, all around XMPlay!!  Grin
