I'm not exactly sure if I'm missing something, but...

Is it possible to make Find Tracks window more keyboard friendly ? More winamp like ?

When I type name of the song, search results are displayed, and I can only open the result I like with mouse click, or I have to press Tab 5 times and then I can press enter.

What I would imagine would be that after search result is made, all input from arrows and enter key would be active in search results, so I can instantly navigate there without mouse or pressing tab several times.

I would want controls in there like this:
key left> return to search query to type text
key right|enter> play song
key up|down> navigate up and down in search results

any other keys> would write query in search box

So is something like that hidden somewhere in settings or is it not implemented ? If so, could it be ? Thanks  Smiley

Alt+R will select all results, but I think that's about it. I've put this on the list of suggestions.

Have you tried "find quick" shortcut? It will allow you to search directly in the library/playlist panels without the need for a separate window. It is not exactly what you asked for but maybe it has some benefit for you.

Yeah I know about that, but to see results I have to have playlist opened, that means one more click to open it and another to close, and I can't see all search results at once...

Alt+R - selects result list
Alt+F - selects query field

While the results list is selected:
Up/Down arrows - navigate through results. The highlighted result is also automatically highlighted in XMPlay's playlist (even if XMPlay's windows is not visible). Which means:
- multiple results can be selected using Shift+ Up/Down. By default, after a search, all results are selected (until first pressing Up/Down)
- the selected result can be played using the configured Play shortcut (mine is Space, I'm not sure if this was the default). If multiple results are selected and the Play shortcut is pressed, the first result in the playlist starts to play and the rest of them are queued.
- the selected result(s) can be queued (without immediately starting to play them) using a key shortcut. I'm using Alt+Q but, again, I'm not sure if this is the default.

All key shortcuts (except Alt+R and Alt+F) can be configured from XMPlay's options window.

And this is how I use Find solely with the keyboard. Smiley
