obvious i extract'it first
Good, where did you extract xmplay.exe to? C:\Program Files (x86)\XMPlay?
i run w7/64bit and i came to a conclusion dat the registry are mess up probably by the cause of the evil/idiotic security system of w7, i was not able to find the ini file. he just popup with the welcome txt file each time i start
The registry has nothing to do with it, as XMPlay stores everything in xmplay.ini. Windows 7 does have tighter security, but XMPlay should work without problems.
Could you start XMPlay, open
Options and stuff > Miscellaneous and tick 'Store per-user config/etc'? If you now restart XMPlay, does it retain its settings?
