Hello, my game is capable of using Airplay to display the game on my TV and a controller on my iPhone. In past versions of BASS this worked fine, and mostly works now. However, when I add the second display, BASS seems to go into "AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayAndRecord" mode (I printed the value.) In this mode, sound plays on the TV (good), but the microphone (which I don't use) is turned on and any slight motion of my hands on the iPhone causes the iPhone speaker to hiss and scratch. I'm able to fix it by setting the AudioSession category to AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayback.

BASS should only set the session category to PlayAndRecord if the recording device is initialized. Are you calling BASS_RecordInit at all? If not, I'm not sure how the session category could have changed to PlayAndRecord. When you used the previous BASS version without this result, were you using the exact same code? If not, and you happen to still have the previous BASS version, please try that again with your current code and see what result you get. If you don't still have the previous BASS version, do you remember what the full version number (ie. 2.4.x.x) was?

Sorry, the memory is pretty vague. I definitely never call BASS_RecordInit or any recording functions. As far as I know the code should be the same... but I don't remember what version of BASS I was using then. It could be a thing with newer versions of iOS? Those have been updated once or twice at least. And making a test case would take a lot of time that I don't really have right now. Sorry, but report is lacking too many details. Just thought I'd mention it anyway.
