New version of XMPlay Script for mIRC
« on: 20 Oct '02 - 11:35 »
Hello ;D
I'd like to proclaim that I've just finished a new version of my XMPlay script for mIRC.

As always, it's availble at:
http://fasolka.terramail.pl/xmplay_script/

This version is quite different from the last one. It's harder in configuration but much more powerful (considering that now-playing script may be "powerful" ;) ). I haven't had much time to test it so it might be buggy. See it for yourselves... :P

Hey man, if I hadn't looked into the early beta I had for like months, I wouldn't have known your site and downloaded a newer one (which supported to turn off colouring!).  Finally, you posted again ;)  Glad to have you around ^^

I haven't informed anybody about the previous versions because there were only minor differences between them. This version has been [almost ;) ] completely rebuilt so I thought that it's a good opportunity to remind people of this script. ;D

Phew, another update... ;D This time it's a beta. Docs are not included yet. People who wanted an option for automatic info sending will find something like that in this version. If nobody  will report any bugs within a week I'll just add docs and put it on page. Happy testing... :laugh:

PS. KD suggested putting one of older versions of my script (one of those easier in configuration) back on page. I think it's a good idea - v1.4 is back online now. :)

Made a little "addon" for the script: If someone wants to get the song you just showed you were listening, they notice you 'dl', and you start sending the song automatically via DCC.

Add this to Remote in Mirc Editor:

## NP DCC SEND ##
## written by Retro ##
on 1:NOTICE:dl:?:{
 echo * $nick requested file %xmplay.file
 if (%xmplay.file == $null) goto virhe
 elseif (%xmplay.file == ???) goto virhe
 else goto send
 :send
 echo * Sending file..
 dcc send $nick %xmplay.path $+ \ $+ %xmplay.file
 halt
 :virhe
 echo * File could not be sent.
 notice $nick File cannot not be sent.
 halt
}
## loppu / end ##

You can probably change this bit to

on *:TEXT:!KD:#: {

so if someone typed !KD then it would send the song... at least I think it will, I'm not entirely mirc savvy.
