can somebody tell me if this player REALLY does play umx [unreal tournament music files] files like it states here: http://www.softlandmark.com/AudioPlayers1.htm

the one above it states the same but after d/ling it i found it was just false advertising.

Rah3D

Yes, XMPlay REALLY does play UMX songs. Without problems! :)

Ralesk

Umm, since WHEN is XMPlay 1.99MB?

Torkell

Dunno. The download is 243KB at the moment. The Zap Audio Player is 2.81MB (and that's for an installer) and they say 2.88MB on the site so somebody can't work out file sizes (which is really easy: download file using IE, and see how big it says the file is ;D).

That one seems to want to use ..\..\..\..\system\tcp4w32.dll. If I run any normal XMPlay (one that I already have), it doesn't load tcp4w32.dll at all. Now anyone that I download wants to use tcp4w32.dll. Only the one that I downloaded originally works.

Pike84

Heh, I just sent them an e-mail about those wrong filesizes :).

Wingzero, I've no idea what you're talking about ???. Clarify a bit?

Zarggg

Isn't tcp4w32.dll just used for cross-platforming? ???

WingZero

Tcp4w32.dll is a DLL for using TCP, cross-platform. It's not async, so I was wondering what was going on. I managed to figure it out though. XMPlay tries to loads any file with a .DLL extension. This file happened to be in a sub-directory of my temporary directory. XMPlay tried to load it, which didn't work, of course. (In case anyone was wondering, the file comes from here: http://www.fluidinterface.com/)
