Almost no one commented on my plead for some more equalizer bands, so maybe this will reveal your thoughts :).

Adding more bands would be somewhat problematic for the existing skins, but I still wish to know, how many people would endorse the idea. So, vote away :)!

I don't care, but I still use it ::)

..Perhaps a plugin like this would come in question?
Neato Plugin
and of course, a screenshot

Yeah! This one is good. High quality algorithms used ('n many bands). To prevent clipping only negative values are possible. It's integrated in foobar2000.

Uh.. Seems nice, but how do you use it? Can't see it in my plugins list.. ???

If you're talking about XMPlay: Only Winamp input plugins supported. This equalizer is a DSP plugin. ;)
In Winamp: Install it (dsp_superequ.dll has to be in plugins folder, a dsp_superequ subfolder is created), it should be in the dsp section of the plugin list.

As I said, 'a plugin like this', not 'this very plugin'... ::)

Oh, I see :). That plugin is no use to me tho, since I was already happy with Winamp's ten equalizer bands. Hope we'll have something like that for Xmplay too.

Personally, I think things sound better without EQ.

I do care about more bands!
While no musical note can be found above 16kHz, a lot can be heard below 63Hz. You will need good headphones or speakers and also need to play louder to overcome the ear's sensitivity loss. That is why 1 (one) extra band at 63/4 approx. 16Hz makes sense.
