Nice Player!

Hey, wow.

How'd this one slip under my radar so long? Despite my longtime love of its playback quality, I got sick of Sonique being unsupported and flawed, so I dove into its forums seeking likewise upset individuals and found a link to XMPlay. And does it ever rock my socks. Small, efficient, flexible and so darn great sounding. Nice work, XMPlay creators! There's been a gap in my audio life for so long.. but no more! Cheers.

Woo. Alrighty. Just one teensy question. I've been reading the support pages and these forums a fair bit but there's one thing I can't figure out (it's probably so simple, but hey it's really late here)

Can anyone clue me in on how to get the inplayer browser to open a file, add that file to the playlist, and immediately play the file - without clearing the playlist? Everytime I use the open file dialog to play something instantly it clears the rest of the list. Add to list is cool and all but I want instant playback satisfaction!

where you set the add to list thing (integration panel, I think), you rightclick the list button and check that it should atuomatically play listed tracks.

I think that's the solution for that you ask,

Cheers, but that (for me) only causes files launched from windows explorer to append and play, files selected in XMPlay's open file browser still clear the playlist entirely. And songs selected using Add to List don't play immediately. Which is a good thing. I think my problem (if it is a problem, not a feature) lies with Open File.

Yep, the open file button in the main panel will clear the list before adding and playing the opened file(s). I think the best solution for you is to use the keyboard shortcuts - "Insert" (or just click the button :)) to add the file(s) to the list, and then "Enter" to play them.
