XMPLay 2.6 Bugs

I am currently using XMPlay 2.6 and have noticed that the program crashes with certain mod files. How do I properly report a bug and do I need to submit the mod file that caused the crash in the first place? I was using the FT2 setting in XMplay to play the file.

I would dare to presume to tell you to send the file(s) to:
ftp://ftp.un4seen.com/incoming/

Further inquires should be asked here from you if some other infos on your settings are needed =)

Okay cool! I uploaded the song "(DC)-AF1.IT" to the ftp site. I don't know why, but the mod causes XMplay to crash right near the end of the song. Could you please take a look at the file and tell me what you can find?
Thanks!

TronixA

Oh yes one morething I want to add! Very important! The crash only occurs if you are playing the mod file with FT2 emulation enabled in XMplay. The file will work just fine with the Normal Mod playback enabled.

The file seems to have been cut slightly short... please try uploading it again :)

TronixA

Hmmm.. I checked the file that I had uploaded to you and it should be the complete file. Not sure why the song looks like it's only a partial file.

I think he meant my file.. *reuploading*

Hey XMPlaya makers!
The 'add directory' only adds the main dir, but without
subdirs inside of them. It really sux, so wake-up and
change this missing features, as fast as possible.
It's really fundamental non-feature..heh..palls...what a shame...

Odyn.
ps. but...XMPlaya stilla rokz.

Got it :) ... the problem was XMPlay objecting to the "+++" (skip order) first thing in the order list. It's been sorted for the next release :)

I meant Jacer's file, but your problem should be sorted now too :)

In the dialogue for Add Directory, there's a checkbox to add subdirectories.

TronixA

Really? You found why that particular mod file was crashing XMplay?  :D

Ian @ un4seen

Yep, didn't you receive the update I sent earlier today? :)

TronixA

Oh yeah!!! I see the email now! What was causing the problem? Sorry about that.. I didn't notice I had a new message waiting for me in my inbox. I had it scrolled down to my older messages.  ;D

TronixA

Just thought I would let you know that the problem seems to be fixed now. Thanks for your help Ian!! I was using WinXP but forgot to mention that when posting the bug. Sorry about that!   :)
