XMP-FLAC plugin
« on: 29 Dec '13 - 05:43 »
In version 9, the Vorbis metadata field, TRACKNUMBER, seems to be ignored, which results in an empty track value for my flac files in the XMPlay info, library, etc. window. If I add an extra field named TRACK to those flac files (with foobar2000), XMPlay uses it for the track value.

Is this change necessary?

XMPlay 3.8 allowed the FLAC plugin to offload some of its tag processing, but as you found, XMPlay was only looking for "track" and not "tracknumber". That should be fixed in the 3.8.0.2 update, which is up on the XMPlay page now.

You don't need beta... 3.8.0.2 is an official release and is found on the left-hand menu.

Because "Beta" sounds so repetitive, call it "Stuff". :P
