Regarding the mp3PRO bug (found the problem)...

Forget about the mp3PRO plugin key in the registry... it was just a coincidence.
XMplay is not identifying as mp3PRO streams the mp3PRO files that were encoded adding CRC checksum information, therefore XMplay does not pass control to the mp3PRO plugin to play these files and play them using the internal decoder instead, which obviously does not play the mp3PRO enhancements.
As I said, this only happens with mp3PRO files that has CRC checksums information. All other mp3PRO files are being identified correctly and played by the mp3PRO plugin instead of the internal decoder. You can verify this 'cause you can see the " - mp3PRO" legend appended to the name of the file and even more evidently 'cause in the "General" tab of the info panel you can see the text "Plugin THOMPSON mp3PRO Decoder v1.2 (x86)" instead of "Format MPEG1 Layer 3".
Hope you can fix it.

You can use any mp3PRO compatible encoder to make a mp3PRO file with and without CRC checksums to do the test.
