Little list of requests

Ahem. So. I've thought some things which might be called improvements to our cute favourite little player..
So, here we go:

(I'm not sure if these two are issues with XMPlay or the mp3 plugin.. hope that they're fixable anywho)

1a) When you change a MP3 ID3 tag (probably OGG too, haven't tried), it won't update on the list until the song is played next time.. Not too important, but it would be a little improvement, I guess, if they could be updated on the list when the tag is changed =)

1b) Keeping on the same subject, one other thing which I'm having issues with is that you can't change the ID3 tag while the song is playing.. Since most of the time I notice something wrong with the ID3 tag while the song is playing, and.. you know the story :P (Or can guess at least)

2) Skin issue.. I noticed a bit too late that the main playlist and the infowindow playlist both use same 'tick_loop.bmp' and 'tick_random.bmp' files.. I had lots of free space on the main playlist and made the buttons a bit largish, and I'd want to keep them compact-sized in the infowindow list.. So maybe optional files for those two buttons? =)

3) Okay, this is something most people won't probably use, but I surely would enjoy a XMPlay.exe /quit (or similar) commandline option.. When XMPlay is running, it would close the player, and when it's not open, it would open it..
(That way I could put a single hotkey for Power on/off ;D)

I hope these will be at least considered, and I thank of the time wasted(?) on them already :)

This is fixed.  Make sure you're using the most recent build. :)

This seems rather silly to me.  Aren't CLs run when the program starts?

Ralesk

Alpha: not necessarily.  I think there are a couple of UNIX server/daemon programs which you can start/stop/control with commandlining them.

Well, I have the newest build, and it really says that only when trying to add/remove ID3v2 tag  ;D

True, it is silly, but so am I, and that's the way I've learned to open/close a player. ;)

Hmm. Didn't think of that.. =\
Oh well...

Yep, been thinking that meself... almost certainly be in the next release.

You could just leave XMPlay minimized in the tray... takes practically no memory, and even less CPU ;D

..and make XMPlay start with Windows, hmm?
*Considers* Hmm.. I'll look into it..  ::)

Make an XMPlay shortcut and copy it to
StartMenu > Programs > Startup

Jace

Uh.. I know THAT much (as in how to do it)..
I was just considering if I'll do it or not.. (Don't ask why not.. Personal issues ;))
