There's a few things with encoding (OGG) that I find a bit aggrevating.

The output device selection is neat (it wasn't until I learnt to right-click, which makes it worthwhile), but it would be even neater to have a quick toggle for this (i.e. click once and it will switch from audible output to OGG, one more click and it will be MP3, right-click and you'll have the same solution as mentioned above) on the main panel.

It would be nice to have it automatically name and place the OGG/MP3/etc (in the same dir as the input file, instead of asking if x:\dir_from_last_time_an_encoder_was_used\name.wav.ogg is ok for every file, and a toggle optioning to replace the input file. The best would be a batch process like thing with only 1 (hopefully not even that, as you could have a set of options for this in the left pane somewhere, and just follow them) dialog in the beginning of encoding/decoding.

There's heaps of other stuff I can comment on with XMPlay and it all has to do with the layout. The player itself is still brilliant.

Enabling auto filename will allow you to do just that (well a bit of it that is ) choose the directory for it to use when you enable it, and it will automatically name the files and move through the playlist.

About Vorbis encoding: Do you know oggdropXPd? Just drang'n drop files on the icon. Get it at RareWares.

Personally, I just use oggenc from the command line.

OggdropXPd can actually be downloaded from the ogg website at www.vorbis.com or whatever it is (I always forget...)
