Now, currently I have XMPlay assigned to all the files it can natively play, except wav.

I see that user settings are saved in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, and I recall the default is to wipe the playlist upon opening a new file from outside.

I see, though, that "current playlist" is saved in a common place, since we took it out from the registry, which was a good idea but...  Since I and my father both use the computer and he occasionally opens a couple of streams, WMA and OGG ones, XMPlay would open up, and wipe my playlist.  That's rather ungood.

I stay by my point that stuff related to the user should not be saved in a common place, but rather the user's own space on the Windows system.  This includes HKEY_CURRENT_USER and %%documentroot%%.

Throwing away a problem instead of solving it is never good.

I obviously don't want to do the open xmplay delete one song add playlist to list don't forget to save additions waltz every occasion some other user uses the computer.

And yes, I do have a saved playlist.

when i start xmplay the error window appear (close, details). what is wrong. something in HKEY... ?

Ralesk... I'll look into the possibility of saving the playlist/settings files to the current user's directory for the next release.

Nierce... does XMPlay continue to work after closing the error dialog? If so, it's probably a plugin that's crashing when XMPlay tries to load it... remove them all, and put them back one by one, until you find the culprit
