Hello.
How can I create a similar skin system like the one from xmplay for my own application?

I would be glad if could give me some hints.

thanks

I would also be interested in finding out how XMPlay makes skins work, with source if possible.

I'm kind of curious how the compiling works, but I'm no major programmer, and I probably wouldn't understand even if you told me. :P

As you can see from the skinning kit, it's a fairly simple system - just bitmaps and a plain text config file. No scripts/coding required.

Compilation is basically just compressing it all into a single file - like ZIP'ing it, except with better compression and faster decompression :D

Thanks, but I was more interested in the programming side of things. :)

But this is Ian we are talking about.  To get him to tell anything about anything takes a lot of effort, and still fails most of the time.  Good luck to you!

Yes, that could be a problem. But if we keep this thread at the top of the board he should get the message and "look into itTM" eventually ;D
