I decided to mess around with OGGENC, and encoded some CD tracks I'd saved from WAV to OGG (actually, they were WMA originally, but I re-ripped them to get better quality. Re-encoding files is rarely a good idea) using XMPlay. I then went through and added things like track name, artist, etc. However, XMPlay doesn't handle extended (specifically, "é") characters properly. It displayed two characters, so presumably it failed to properly decode the DBCS/Unicode tag properly. Any ideas?

The file in question had "Asserjé (The Ketchup Song)" as the title (accented letter underlined), so you can try and reproduce the problem. The string showed up fine in the OGG tag editor plugin.

OGG uses Unicode (UTF-8) encoding for character sets, but XMPlay does not currently support this.  I believe it will be fixed in 2.6.

Thanks. Anyone know when 2.6 will be released? There's at least 3 features I've heard about that I'm waiting for...
