Hi Ian:  XMPlay will correctly display stream bitrate, as opposed to just report the value in the "icy-br" field from the icecast server.  For example, the FLAC stream at http://89.223.45.5:8000/next-flac has an icy-br value of "128k" for whatever reason known only to Icecast, but XMPlay is able to correctly identify the bitrate (1031k) after a bit of delay in the general info window.

Is the true bitrate discovery an inherent function of the BASS library, or does that involve the developer's own separate code?  The reason I ask is that there is another BASS-based player that insists on only showing the bogus header bitrate in these cases, and I'm not sure if it's due to a problem in its BASS implementation or by "design."  Thanks for any info!  And, NICE JOB with XMPlay  :)
