Well, here I am Tongue

Let's see what is hurting someone who has been testing games for a while -- not me, but my partner, that is:

¤ Some skins have HYOOGE play/pause and stop buttons, which is said to be favourable.
¤ Better indication that the sidebars are openable (IMHO everyone can see, but let's think about the most newb users too, heheh) (Hmm, is it mentioned in the firstrun window?).
¤ Better contrast of colours (indeed, some places are rather hard to see, loop button state for example).
¤ Many people's problem seems to be the narrow built-in playlist. I don't think that simmetry is such an important thing to maintain (this especially regards the current default skin)
¤ My mate's opinion is that the X and _ buttons are not handy on the lower bar of the player. Imho everyone can get used to it.
¤ This one pretty much needs Ian: scrolling song title in the titlebar, similar to that of WinAmp?
¤ Another interesting thing having been said: The eject button opens the open file window O.o <- Now, everyone else than my partner said that the exit on ejectbutton was silly. Grin No, I don't want the current thing to be changed. Was just a funny thing to hear Smiley
¤ I'll think up more...

I consider this to be the crowning achievement of any audio player skin... ever.  I give you:

That is funny!  :-)

(Translation: Rolling On The Floor Laughing Too Hard To Stop And Scaring The Cat, Meanwhile My Mom Walked In And Thought I Had Eaten Poinsonous Mushrooms And She Called The Paramedics And They Took Me To Mad House And All Of This Is Your Fault You Stupid Fathead Piece Of Shit With Your Lame Jokes That Make Me Laugh This Much You Bastard.)

However, on a more serious side of thing, I think that the firstrun window mentions one of the most useful instructions: RTFM!  But of course no one does it anyway, so I think that more texture on sidebar will indicate it's retractability.
Also, in addition to contrast issues, I also think that symmetry isn't that important.  I vote for 2 more thing: 1 is the 2 versions of the cool cool cool spectrum analyzer that Ian released in BASS 1.5, just like the ones that were in XMPlay 1.x, and another is the larger width for the right sidebar.  Yup, that's it from me now...  (No one understood why Eject button would close it in 1.x  Grin)

Hi Ralesk and Olego!

Just wanted to know, why you want to make the shitty-small-playlist wider, since it's not high enough anyway to be useful. We have a good playlist in the info-button, so what's the point?

But then what is there to do with it?  Just leave it like it is?

I'll make it possible for skinners to change the number of tracks displayed (upto 10 should do?)... so that could be something to do with it Smiley

Can I be a Skinner?  Or do I have to apply for a Skinning license first?  Grin

...shitty-small...
...so what's the point?

This thread - I'd hoped, anyway - is a place for people to list the things they want in a new UI; not a place to continue old arguments and complain about old problems.  I'd like people to freely offer thier ideas without fear of foulmouthed rebuttals like this.

Vesh!
My reply was in no way meant to be aggressive, I was only curious! "Shitty-small" isn't so very foul-mouthed in my opinion, and it hurts me to get that kind of accusations Sad

Okay, I agree with no vulgarity, but we still need to offer constructive criticism, right? I suggest using the following 'breath mints for foul mouthes.' (NOTE: '-ish' can be added as a suffix to any of these)
1.Poo
2.Stinky (or stinks, or stink)
3.Ickhy
4.Clammy
5.Gremlin
6.Damp
7.Dank
8.Doink
9.Dill- (add any noun, like -weed or -wipe)
10.Daft
11.Chiminea
12.Hagendas
13.Italian Monk (can also be used as a compliment, in a pinch)
14.Boozed-up
15.chumpy
16.ripped (also can be nice)

oh, I almost forgot--
would there be any way to make song titles scroll at the top of the player? long names are hard to see.

-_-~

ps-I still say there should be a 'skinless' mode available, like in XM1. somethin' about that was just cool to me.
