In my mixer I have a Monitor channel strip which uses BASS_SetVolume to set the master volume output. However if the user changes the volume using one of the many options at his disposal, an inconsistency occurs. I realise I can probably poll the volume continuously but that's a bit ugly. Instead I would like to see an event (I guess in BASS that would be a callback) that is triggered when the volume has changed.

If this is not going to happen, I would like to know the overhead of calling BASS_GetVolume on a regular basis.

I will add this to the "look into it" list. In the meantime, polling BASS_GetVolume (eg. once a second or so) will have practically no overhead.

Thanks, I'll try to be patient.
