Sometimes BASS_ERROR_HANDLE on Windows 10
« on: 27 Feb '18 - 14:31 »
Hello,
I created an app (C#, Net 4.5, Winforms, BASS.Net) which runs perfect under Windows 7. When I run it on Windows 10 sometome I get an BASS_ERROR_HANDLE error. When I restart the pc and try it again. No error occurs and all runs fine.

Is there a way to get more information why an invalid handle is returned ?

Thanks and regards
Uwe

What function are you getting the BASS_ERROR_HANDLE error from? The root of the problem is likely to be a failed BASS_StreamCreateFile/User/URL call, giving you a 0 handle, which will result in a BASS_ERROR_HANDLE error when it's used in another call. Are you checking the return value of all BASS_StreamCreateFile/User/URL calls? If you're unsure where the problem is happening, you can try logging all BASS calls and return values to find out.

Hi Ian,
thanks for your fast repsonse. I got the error on creating a stream. But I found out, that  it has nothing to do with the bass function. It seams to be database problem, where I store the sound file names.
