Hi Ian,

Sometimes we get a crash report at Java_com_un4seen_bass_BASSMIDI_BASS_1MIDI_1StreamEvents, as below

#00  pc 0000000000004c40  /data/app/...-2/lib/arm/libbassmidi.so
#01  pc 000000000000d53b  /data/app/...-2/lib/arm/libbassmidi.so
#02  pc 0000000000010541  /data/app/...-2/lib/arm/libbassmidi.so (BASS_MIDI_StreamEvents+1596)
#03  pc 0000000000012f61  /data/app/...-2/lib/arm/libbassmidi.so (Java_com_un4seen_bass_BASSMIDI_BASS_1MIDI_1StreamEvents+336)
#04  pc 00000000008beffd  /data/app/...-2/oat/arm/base.odex

Java_com_un4seen_bass_BASSMIDI_BASS_1MIDI_1StreamEvents+336 (this number changes)

Is there a way to wrap this with an exception? so the error can be ignored and the user can try again rather than crashing the app.

Thank you in advance.

From the addresses in that call stack, it looks like you might not be using the latest BASSMIDI version? If so, please try upgrading and see if the problem still happens then. If it does still happen, also post the parameters that you are using in your BASS_MIDI_StreamEvents call(s).

Thank you Ian, I am not sure when I lastly updated the BASS library, but I will replace the BASS library first and see how it goes.

Just a quick question,

when updating the BASS library, do I have to replace any file other than the *.so files?
e.g. do I also have to replace java.com.un4seen.bass.BASS.java, BASSenc.java and etc?

Thank you.

It isn't usually absolutely necessary to update the Java files too, but I would suggest that you do, in case there were any fixes in those files or you would like to use any new functions/options that have been added.
