Hi, so recently I have been using MusicBee which uses bass_aac libraries to play audiobooks. There, I reported a crash related to playback when seeking (skipping forward/backwards 5/20 seconds) in a file. If the skip is bound to a key or is repeatedly used quickly, occasionally the entire program will hang and the bookmark will be set backwards to the last time the file was played, often many hours away from the current position. This has happened across multiple devices but invariably happens after several hours of use. I was directed here by the Admin.

I suspect that it might be some type of indexing problem, but I am aware that this type of crash is a nightmare to troubleshoot, so my primary request is that a tentative bookmark be implemented that is updated every n minutes, so in the event of a messy crash, it is closer to the actual current playback position.

Here is a link to that discussion. https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=39384.0

Thanks for your time.

I should also note, that I have experienced similar crashes across multiple devices when using mpv, where the bookmark is also discarded.

Esora I just responded to your query in the MusicBee forum, please check back there.  Un4seen has nothing to do with how that player handles bookmarks.
