Questions about XMPlay features

Hello everyone,

i have been using Winamp v2.x and have been searching for a good replacement for a long time. It looks like I have now found it in XMPlay. The configuration options are very versatile.  ;D

However, there are currently three things that I cannot find or that do not work ??? :
  • Whenever I add a track to the playlist by double-clicking or pressing "Enter," XMPlay gets the focus. (I have XMPlay set up so that it is always "On top".)
  • When XMPlay is minimized, it would be great if it were only in the tray. As soon as you take it out of the tray, preferably with a single click, it should be back in the taskbar.
  • Is there a way to use a global keyboard shortcut to briefly display the current track on the monitor, as an overlay on top of everything else? Ideally, it would be configurable to specify exactly what should be displayed and where.

It would be great if someone could help me find a solution.

Best regards
Azzkiker

It sounds like enabling "Bring to foreground" in the "Integration" options page would do what you want.

Right-clicking on XMPlay's minimize button will minimize to tray instead of taskbar. By default, it'll restore on a double-click, but you can change that to a single-click by adding a "SingleClickTray=1" line to your XMPLAY.INI file.

When XMPlay is in the tray, you can use a global "Current track - Tray title bubble" shortcut key (set in the "Shortcuts" options page) to see what's playing (shown next to the tray).

This is working as expected.

That's also working. I would prefer "minimize to tray" is selectable as option to use one left mouse click.

Is working too, but on my display the text in the bubble is very small. Because of this i would prefer to have some kind of configurable OSD with font, size, colour and position.

All points would be nice to have. I like the XMPlay very much and it's a great replacement for the old Winamp!
