I discovered XMPlay some days ago, good player and recorder at the same time, I just do not succeed in recording separate tracks, read at several places including your manual (rather old so maybe some settings have another name now) but always get long files, tried it with

https://stream.psychedelicized.com:8000/radio.mp3

for example which shows separate tracks and file names while playing of course

Configuration: Enable this in the DSP panel (or Output options) by selecting "Write to disk" and choosing to split audio files into separate tracks using the titles as filenames.

The closest thing I can find is the setting in the screenshot attached but there is no "Write to disk" in this window just this Auto-file etc., not sure if this is meant to be for separate tracks and I cannot see an option for a cue file neither so are my settings correct or is this the wrong place for recording separate tracks and the cue file
option ? But I just cannot find another setting for this

And another thing I do not understand so far: When I start a recording with "Write to disk > Download Extract" all goes well and the sound stays during recording but with EVERY other option (WAV Writer, Encoder etc.) the sound vanishes immediately when I shall choose a file name and does not come back, with Download Extract I have to give a file name in this situation too of course but the sound stays as expected, the setting here is USB Speakers and XMPlay does not change this when recording but no sound anyway with all settings except Download Extract, strange to me

Simple questions for the experts here probably so any help is appreciated

Strange or new to me, too, I nearly always take things with CopyTabTitleURL or similar addons into the clipboard or a file so they can be found again easily but when all threads have the same URL things are nearly impossible to find or to remember, must be the forum software orobably

The "Write to disk > Download / Extract" option in the playlist entry's right-click menu is the one you want. Tick the "Write separate tracks" box at the bottom of the output file selector.

You can get a link to the current topic by right-clicking on the thread title at the top of the page and selecting "Copy Link". If you want a link to a particular post, you can do the same thing on the time of the post.

Thanks for replying, one does not expect that there are additional fields at the bottom of the box where one selects the file names and folders or this is rather rare at least, my old eyes saw this option for the first time after reading your reply   

And the copy link option works the way you described, quite rare too, many or all things XMPlay rather sophisticated apparently :-)

Edit: I could not reply with my original name because my mail or ip were in the spam forum database (so it said) so I registered with anorher name and mail, strange or funny more or less but this worked
