Hi i'm new to compilers and such, i know that i should be able to figure this out but after i dl bass , where do i extract the files to .lol i'm using devcpp . anyone know a site that explanes the basic basics of where the files should be.

Dude... Listen now you really should try to be more precise when asking something. This question is insane - the only thing I get from it that you don't know even what are you asking.

I would start with something simpler than audio programming. First learn the compiler, the language, the structure, set up a basis, then start with BASS.
