There's always ASIO4ALL, but I highly doubt it would be of any use when it comes to enhancing the audio quality of a mobo sound chip. Its (and ASIO's in general) main function is to lower latency in music software. I tried it with Renoise and a VIA sound chip and I only got it working once I disabled all MIDI functions on the chip. Needless to say this rendered my MIDI keyboard useless and I had to ditch the driver pretty quickly. Dunno if the new version (which was released after my test) has any major improvements.
