Hi, I'm curious of what Un4seen understands under 'shareware license' (I couldn't find this on the site)? - I mean, I want to purchase a Shareware licence, but that can mean anything for all I know. Thus, what is the actual license in black and white and for how long will this license be valid? (forever I hope)

As the name suggest, the shareware license allows shareware authors to use BASS in their apps. If you're an individual selling your own software, that's the license for you. If you're a commercial entity (or your software is published/sold by one), then a commercial license is required. Also see the "BASS in shareware and commercial software?" section in the BASS.TXT file for info.
