sound-card & ChannelGetLevel

Greetings.  
Please if somebody can help me, I am using BASS_ChannelGetLevel and in some sound cards it doesn't work me he/she gives a value = 0. They could tell me that requesitos should have the sound card. He/she goes me well the SB live and they fail me for example the AC 97.

Do the precompiled BASS examples (eg. SPECTRUM and CONTEST) show the same problem?

What soundcard exactly are you having problems with, what Windows/DirectX version are you using, and have you checked for updated drivers?
